Small dreams see the light after fifty years of dark repression.
For such civilized aspirations and for the people craving for freedom, the repressive autocratic ruling regime in Syria must leave. The tyrant must go, for Syrians to live as they should, as they have always dreamed.
It is this Syrian spirit and these local initiatives which the international community has failed, which the so called Friends of Syria have abandoned when they abandoned the average Syrians strifing for better future for their country despite all their suffering.

تحذير صور ذات محتوى عنيف: أعلن مكتب حقوق الإنسان في الأمم المتحدة يوم الثلاثاء عن مقتل 108 أشخاص في مجزرة وقعت في قرية الحولة في سوريا، حيث جرى إعدام بعض القتلى من النساء والأطفال بالرصاص من مسافة قريبة.
بيروت – يروي علي السيد، الطفل ابن الحادية عشر كيف خرّ على الأرض عندما باشر المسلحون بذبح عائلته في منزلهم ناقعاً ثيابه بدماء أخيه لكي يوهم القتَلة بأنه فارق الحياة.
حاول الطفل السوري منع نفسه من الارتعاش، حتى عندما قام المسلحون بلحاهم الطليقة ورؤوسهم الحليقة بقتل أهله وإخوته الأربعة الواحد تلو الآخر.
كان نادر البالغ من العمر ستة أعوام أصغر القتلى من إخوة علي. في جسده الصغير استقرّت رصاصتان، واحدة في رأسه والأخرى في ظهره.

I wrote, about a year ago (27 April 2011), in a blog: (SYRIATEL .. with or against us?) about Syriatel Mobile Operator and their exclusion policies, by tracking its employees’ news and writings on the Facebook, terminating those who seem to be even only empathizing with the demonstrators. I wrote about special cases where I was an eye-witness.
The events have not stopped since I published that article. Investigations were directed to find out the writer, and punish him. They did manage to get to the company I worked with, and, using their relation with its management, passed their complain, suggesting the termination of my contract with it. For their misfortune, the company was a foreign company, and it ignored their request. استمر في القراءة

لا يوجد تقديرات لأعداد الفلسطينيين الذين قضوا منذ بداية الاضطرابات في سوريا, ولكن تصاعد المطالبات بإسقاط النظام السوري لم يمر مرور الكرام على الفلسطينيين في سوريا، والذين يُقدر عددهم بنصف مليون. إن ازدياد التوتر مع السلطات السورية قد يسجل تغييراً في توجه الثورة في العاصمة بشكل خاص، والتي تحتضن مخيم اليرموك, أكبر مخيمات الفلسطينيين في سوريا.
منذ اندلاع الثورة تشبثت النخب السياسية الفلسطينية في سوريا بالوقوف إلى جانب النظام. وكان في مقدمتهم الصاعقة (النسخة الفلسطينية لحزب البعث)، والجبهة الفلسطينية [الشعبية] لتحرير فلسطين-القيادة العامة، والتي ساهمت بشكل فعلي في أعمال الترهيب واعتقال المشتبهين على خلفية التظاهر من أجل الديمقراطية. وتحت قيادات من أمثال أحمد جبريل، قاموا بدعم ادعاءات النظام بأن الأسد هو حامي فلسطين، وأن النظام السوري يواجه تمرداً مسلحاً يقف وراءه إسلاميين جهاديين وقوى غربية داعمة لإسرائيل. استمر في القراءة
